Investigation Summary
On July 11, 2003, an employee working for an insurance company, was walking from a carpeted area to a tile floor in the mailroom. He slipped and fell at the tile threshold. The carpet was cleaned earlier and may still have been wet when the employee walked on it. The janitorial staff heard the employee's call for help and they contacted emergency medical services. The employee was transported by the San Ramon Valley Fire Department to San Ramon Regional Medical Center, where he was hospitalized and treated for a fractured left ankle.
