Employee bruises knee falling on conveyor

At about 11:10 p.m. on July 27, 1994, Employee #1 of Campbell Soup Co. was working at his regular job in the labeling palletizer room when several boxes jammed in the palletizer machine. Employee #1 pushed the stop button and climbed up onto the powered rollers of the conveyor and palletizer. While removing broken cases and reaching back to the conveyor line to get new cases, he stuck his foot into a gap between 2 rollers, dropping down to his knee and severely bruising it. Employee #1 was able to get himself out of the rollers and off the conveyor. First aid was applied and he was then transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Sacramento, CA. Employee #1 was treated and released with a badly bruised knee.
