Employee fractures ankle while loading tree into truck

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 16, 1998, Employee #1, of Sunny Slope Tree Farm, Inc., was loading a palm tree from the company's tree farm onto a flatbed truck for transport. He sustained a fractured right ankle and was transported by private vehicle to Redlands Community Hospital, where he was treated and then referred to the Arrowhead Orthopedic Clinic. Employee #1 was subsequently transferred back to Redlands Community Hospital, where he was treated for two days.
