Employee injured in fall on unmarked wet, newly waxed floor

Employee #1, a department manager for Long's, a retail drug and general merchandise store, was walking toward a rear fire door to unlock it as part of his duties when opening the store. He was approximately 15 to 20 ft away from the fire door in a store aisle along the back wall. There was fresh wet wax on the floor, but the subcontractor janitor had failed to post warning signs. Employee #1 fell, sustaining a fracture of his upper left arm and elbow injuries.
