Employee's finger amputated by saw

An employee was cutting 2-in. PVC pipe using an 18-in. cutoff saw. He transferred the pipe to his right hand and moved the saw with his left hand. As he brought the saw down to make a cut, the blade struck his right hand; cutting his right thumb and amputating his right index finger tip.
