Investigation Summary
On July 31, 2007, Employee #1, of FCI Constructors Granite, was working on the S149-E70 connector bridge (no. 12-0199) when the falsework collapsed on him. Employee #1's pelvis was fractured in four places, his elbow sustained crushing injuries, and his hand, two ribs, and lower tibia in one leg were all fractured. He also suffered nerve damage. Employee #1 was transported to the hospital, where he was treated for five weeks.
