Employee injured in collapsing scissor lift

Employee #1, of City Building, Inc., was working from a fully extended scissor lift at a height of 24 ft. The lift's hydraulic retainer shattered and the piston shaft came loose, causing the lift to telescope downward. Employee #1's foot and heel were broken and he required hospitalization.
