Employee injured in fall from lift

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 16, 1995, Employee #1, a journeyman electrician, was replacing ballasts and lamps from fluorescent fixtures from a Genie personnel lift in a school's multi-purpose room. While Employee #1 was elevated approximately 24 ft, the lift tipped over, trapping him against a wall. Employee #1 sustained fractures of the left leg and left shoulder with tissue damage. The lift's outriggers were not set.
