Investigation Summary
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on or about August 25, 1993, Employee #1 was using a pneumatic nailer to nail sheeting onto the roof of a residential property under construction. A nail became lodged in the nail discharge chute. Employee #1 repeatedly attempted to dislodge the nail by firing the pneumatic nailer. When the nailer finally fired, the nail hit the roof and bounced into Employee #1's left eye. He suffered corneal damage.
