Event: 07/21/1995
Employee cuts his right thigh with a saw

About 4:50 p.m. on July 21, 1995, Employee #1, of Walker Lumber, was making an angle cut on a 2 by 4. When he finished the cut, a piece of wood broke off the stock and wedged in the saw frame, disabling the telescoping guard. Although the power was off, the blade was still spinning and when Employee #1 dropped the saw down, the blade made a deep cut in his right thigh. Employee #1 was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
