Employee injured when his head strikes cart

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on June 20, 1995, Employee #1, of Packard Bell, Sacramento, CA, was pushing a material cart down an aisle in building 5. While approaching an intersection where he planned to make a left turn, he was distracted by a coworker and turned the corner a little short, pushing the cart into a conveyor support post. He banged his head into the cart when it stopped suddenly. First aid was provided for a knot on his head before he was driven to a local clinic, where he was checked and found to have a concussion and possible fracture of a neck vertebra. Employee #1 was transferred to Sutter General Hospital, Sacramento, for treatment.
