Employee injured when hands caught in roller

Employee #1 was inspecting the latex material on the back of some carpeting as it was running through the rollers. He was trying to remove the extra latex with a knife when his arm was pulled in between the roller and the carpeting. He tried to extract his arm with his other hand, but it also became caught in the roller. Employee #1 was pulled in up to his waist and sustained injuries that required hospitalization.
