Employee Is Injured When Caught by Connector While Crossing

On August 27, 2008, an employee and a coworker were working on a fuel feed conveyor and finished the job. The coworker passed tools and parts across the conveyor and the employee crossed the conveyor. The employee was in radio contact with the control room and there was some interference. There must have been a misunderstanding, as the employee started to cross the conveyor, it was started remotely at the control room and the teeth of the conveyor caught his leg causing the injury. The employee was taken to Fresno Community Hospital for treatment which is located in Fresno, CA. The employee was hospitalized and treated for a laceration of his leg.
