Employee Is Caught Between Tractor and Truck

On October 24, 2006, Employee #1, a mechanic, completed a repair to a Case 570LXT front-end loader. The loader was in a closed lane on a freeway repaving job. A truck attempted to go between the loader and a paving machine. The truck's rear wheels struck the loader and pushed it. The loader rolled forward pinning Employee #1 between the loader and his vehicle. Employee #1 received compound fractures to both of his lower legs and was hospitalized.
