Employee's Face Is Lacerated by Flying Wood Chip

On October 25, 2007, Employee #1, a knot bumper, was cutting limbs off of a log. A heel boom grappler was approximately 20 to 25 ft away. The boom loader knocked a piece of wood loose which struck Employee #1 in the face. He was hospitalized with lacerations to his face.
