Employee's ankle bone punctured by nail gun

Employee #1, of Cimarron Construction, Inc., was on a second floor of a new housing construction nailing joists. He was using a Holsted nail gun with a 22 1/2 degree angle. The nail gun hit a knot, nail head, or metal baseplate, causing it to recoil. Employee #1 sustained a nail puncture wound to the bone of his left ankle. He was hospitalized.
