Employee's finger amputated in a maintenance shop

At approximately 10:10 p.m. on December 4, 1999, Employee #1, a mechanic, employed by Omnitrans in San Bernardino, CA, sustained the amputation of the first digit, fourth finger on his left hand while investigating a noise in a bus air conditioning unit. The accident occurred in the employer's bus maintenance facility. He was transported by paramedics to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
