Employee struck by forklift as she walks into its path

Employee #1 was walking toward the plant exit doorway at the end of the shift. A forklift truck carrying an empty bin had previously stopped about 10 ft away. Witnesses say that the driver had blown his horn at least 3 times. The forklift had begun to move again when Employee #1 walked in front of it. The forklift hit her, knocking her to the ground and running over her right lower leg and foot. She was hospitalized in shock, suffering from a broken foot.
