Employee's fingertips crushed in pinch point

Employee #1, the operator of a Buttenfeld injection molding press, was removing a lid to a container formed in the mold when her fingers were pinched between the ejector ring and the mold. Employee #1 suffered crushing injuries to the third and fourth fingertips of her right hand. It was learned that the machine required additional grounding and that Employee #1 was relatively new on the machine.
