Investigation Nr: 170870497
Event: 07/15/2000
Employee suffers fractures in fall from ladder

Employee #1 was using a ladder to reach store display materials located in an elevated storage area. She had handed down steel shelving to a coworker and was starting to pass down small wire baskets. The coworker couldn't reach the wire baskets being handed to her, so Employee #1 tried to lean a little further. She lost her footing and balance and fell between 6 and 9 ft to the floor, landing on her feet. Employee #1 suffered multiple minor fractures and sprains to her legs and ankles. She was transported to the hospital, where she was treated and released the same day.
