Employee's Hand and Arm Are Caught in Machine

On May 18, 2005, Employee #1 was assembling produce boxes for farms. He was in a production area in Goshen, CA., feeding blanks into a box folding machine. One of the blanks did not feed correctly, so he reached into the machine's feed roller to straighten the blank or pull it out. The machine's roller grabbed his left hand and pulled it into the machine. He sustained multiple contusions to his left hand and arm. He was taken to Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia, CA. He was not hospitalized.
