Employee is injured in fall from roof

On August 18, 2004, Employee #1 was installing roof sheathing for a building framing contractor at a construction site located in Fresno, CA. He positioned the roof sheathing and begun to nail it down. However, he misaligned the sheet of plywood on the roof truss. To correct the misalignment, he tried to reposition the plywood, but he stepped on the end of the roof that was not supported by a roof truss. He lost his balance, falling 14.75 ft to the floor. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. He sustained serious injuries to his ribs and hip.
