Employee injures wrists in fall from crane base

On December 5, 2003, Employee #1, working for a crane rental service, was marking a replacement cover panel on the side of the crane for holes to be drilled. The panel cover was used to cover the hydraulic hoses. The surface of the crane base was wet from a recent rain and the employee was close to the edge when he slipped and fell to the ground. He fell approximately 5 feet and injured his right and left wrists. He was transported to Clovis Community Hospital where he was hospitalized for treatment.
