Employee fractures ankle in same-level fall

At approximately 5:30 a.m. on July 28, 2002, Employee #1 was checking the flash pasteurizer unit when he saw a black widow spider. Employee #1 was trying to step on the spider when he lost his balance and fell and sustained a fractured ankle. Employee #1 was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released the following day.
