Employee's finger lacerated while cleaning bowl cutter

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on June 23, 2000, Employee #1, of Select Personnel Services, was cleaning a carrot bowl cutter when his right hand contacted the moving blade. He suffered a serious laceration to his ring finger, the tip of which was amputated. Employee #1 was transported to San Joaquin Hospital in Bakersfield, CA, for treatment.
