Employee's head injured by falling tractor rim

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on February 11, 1998, Employee #1, of Grimmway Farms, Inc., was welding a tractor rim that was being secured by a link chain and overhead hoist. The rim slipped off the chain, falling onto Employee #1's head. He suffered serious head trauma and was taken to Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA, where he was admitted for treatment.
