At approximately 6:00 a.m. on December 30, 1997, Employee #1, of Grimmway Farms, Inc., was crossing over a culvert pipe in the bulk carrot room when he tripped and fell into a flume. He fractured his lower right leg and was admitted to Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA.
