Employee Injured In Fall From Ladder

At approximately 10:21 a.m. on June 4, 1999, Employee #1 suffered a strained sacroiliac and contusions to his lower back and left knee in a fall from a ladder. Employee #1 fell approximately 7 ft when the rivets holding the guides or brackets failed on a new 16-ft fiberglass extension ladder. The failure was caused when Employee #1 who weighed approximately 350 pounds used a ladder with a 225-pound working load limit. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
