Employee Amputates Finger in Valve

On January 9, 2012, an employee was checking a seal gasket in a 2-inch valve. He amputated his finger to first knuckle, when he closed the valve on his left middle finger. The employee was taken to the hospital for his injuries, where he was treated and released the same day.
