Employee Breaks Hip in Fall from Ground Level

On December 2, 2010, Employee #1 was working under a bridge next to a creek, where he was assigned to remove driftwood. Employee #1 pulled on a branch in order to remove it, and the branch broke, causing him to fall backwards on to rocks located in the creek bed. Employee #1 broke his left hip in the fall. Employee #1 was transported to Oroville Hospital, where he was admitted. After five days, Employee #1 was transferred to Standford Hospital for an additional five days.
