Employee injured in 18 ft fall

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on July 14, 1995, Employee #1, of Midcoast Builders, was performing a framing operation at a large tract home construction site. He was about 18 ft high inside a framed home finishing truss work. Employee #1 stepped onto a 2 by 4 board and it broke in half, causing Employee #1 to fall to the concrete. He sustained a head injury and a fractured pelvis. The employer admitted not providing fall protection.
