Employee injured when struck by material handling cart

At approximately 2:04 p.m. on October 14, 1996, Employee #1, a supervisor and mechanic for Tenneco Packaging, was working to eliminate noise on conveyor rollers. He bent down without looking and was struck by a material handling cart that ran through the area on a single rail. Employee #1 was taken to USC Medical Center, where he was hospitalized for five days and then treated as an outpatient.
