Employee sustains minor injuries when struck by truck

Employee #1, of Los Angeles Paper Box and Board Mills, was assigned to secure traffic control at one of the employer's security gates. While the employee was moving a moveable stop sign, a coworker was backing up a tractor trailer truck to a diesel fuel pump. The coworker did not see Employee #1. Employee #1 had his back to the truck and did not realize that the truck was moving. The truck hit Employee #1 and the rear of the trailer knocked him over. Employee #1 crawled forward to avoid being run over. He sustained minor cuts and abrasions and received medical care for less than 24 hours.
