Employee's hand caught in textile printing press

At approximately 2:20 p.m. on June 20, 1994, Employee #1 was trying to remove dried glue from one of the rotating rollers of #3 flatbed textile printing machine, but did not stop, de-energize, or lock out the machine before cleaning. He sustained a massive de-gloving injury when his left hand was caught between the rollers. He was taken to Victoria Park Medical Clinic, then transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital and admitted. The employer was cited for serious violation of T8CCR 3314(a).
