Employee fractures left foot in forklift collision

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on December 17, 1993, Employee #1, of the Berton Co., was operating a Raymond electric, model #31, forklift truck in reverse in a warehouse. He failed to stop the vehicle and it struck the wall. Before the collision, his left foot slipped out of the vehicle and was caught between the wall and the forklift truck. Employee #1 suffered a crushing injury to his left foot. He was taken to Downey Community Hospital and was hospitalized. He is now being treated as an outpatient.
