Employee not seriously injured in 4 ft fall from ladder

At approximately 9:56 a.m. on September 15, 1995, Employee #1, of Hoover Roofing, was attempting to climb a 12 ft ladder from the back porch of a single-family home to the roof. He had reached the fourth rung from the bottom when he fell approximately 4 ft to the floor. He was taken by the local fire department to the hospital, where he was released after an hour of checkups. Employee #1 returned to work the same day and was interviewed on the site about the accident. According to the employer, Employee #1 was not carrying any tools or materials in his hands while climbing the ladder. He was not doing any electric work. No one in the area disturbed the ladder.
