Employee's Finger Is Amputated by Chop Saw

On May 30, 2006, Employee #1, who worked for the Work Training Center, was operating a Dewalt chop saw, when he placed his hand under the saw blade before the guard was in place. His left index finger was struck against the blade and amputated at the first knuckle. Employee #1 was taken to the hospital, where he spent four hours.
