Investigation Summary
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on February 17, 1995, Employee #1, a twilight supervisor, was overseeing a crew of drivers that was setting up for the evening sort. He was standing near several parked flight crew vans when a tug carrying two container dollies drove into the area. The second dolly struck a stanchion, ricocheted, and bounced toward Employee #1. The dolly struck his left ankle, breaking it in three places. The driver of the tug and dollies was not following the designated path of travel, which was clearly marked and posted. No citation was issued.
