Investigation Summary
On April 29, 2004, an employee working alone was preassigned to herd cattle on a sector of the Topo ranch. The employee did not return to the predetermined meeting place as agreed with the other herders. After a search was done, the employee's horse was found with a broken leg, along with the employee's dog. Another search was launched, and shortly thereafter the crushed remains of the employee were found by two other coworkers of the Topo Ranch. The employee was killed when he fell down a steep inclined hill and crushed by his horse.
