Employee's finger tip amputated when pinched between objects

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on July 30, 1998, Employee #1, a FedEx container handler, was trying to maneuver an AMJ container on a gravity feed conveyor. While positioning the container, the employee's finger was caught between the container and the lockdown mechanism. The employee's left middle finger tip was amputated. The accident occurred in the AMJ container storage area.
