Employee Is Injured in Fall from Parking Garage Wall

On April 17, 2006, Employee #1 was on the west side shear wall of a parking garage that was under construction. The wall measured 11.5 feet high. As Employee #1 was reaching to his right side for a rebar, he fell to the concrete floor. He landed feet first, injuring his left ankle, hip, and back. Employee #1 was taken to San Jose regional medical center, where he was treated for his injuries. The accident investigation revealed that Employee #1 was wearing a safety harness at the time of the accident.
