Employee Sustains Fracture in Fall from Ladder

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 23, 2006, Employee #1 was doing interior tile work. He was assigned to apply pink mud on wallboard gaps greater than 0.25 inches along the north side of a building. He placed a four-foot wooden stepladder on top of a scaffold to gain height. While he was going up the stepladder, the scaffold rolled back. The ladder fell down, carrying Employee #1 with it to the concrete floor. Employee #1 sustained a compound fracture of his right ankle or leg. He was taken to a hospital, and he was hospitalized.
