Employee injured in fuel tank explosion

Employee #1 was pressure testing a fuel tank for leaks and then welding any leaks that were discovered. He was in the process of welding when the fuel tank exploded. Employee #1 suffered a compound fracture of his right arm, and lacerations and contusions to his left arm and leg, face, and chest.
