Law enforcement officer shot and killed with handgun

On August 15, 1994, Employee #1, a law enforcement officer, responded to a report of shots being fired and wounding one person. Deputies took control of the area surrounding the site and stayed behind cover. The climate was nonhostile and Employee #1 was communicating with people at the site. Suddenly the scene became violent. Shots were fired and deputies dropped to ground. Employee #1 was fatally shot in the head. Criminal charges have been filed against the suspected shooter.
