Employee falls 85 ft to death

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on June 27, 1991, Employee #1 left the cab of his crane to inspect the crane during shutdown operations. He went to the rail beam to inspect the truck bearings on the bridge. He was using a flashing that had been installed to control dust as a work platform. When Employee #1 stepped on a seam of the flashing, it gave way under his weight and he fell 85 feet to his death.
