Employee's arms burned in electrical flash fire

On August 23, 2003, Employee #1 was installing a trough extension to make room for additional wiring. He took the cover off and was lifting and separating the 750 mcm wiring at the same time when a flash occurred. Employee #1 sustained first- and second-degree burns on his arms, for which he was hospitalized. He did not know that there were two splices in the cable and that they had split.
