Employee killed by falling bales of pulp

At approximately 5:45 a.m. on March 8, 1994, Employee #1 was cutting the retaining wire off the bottom bale of a stack of five bales of hardwood pulp that were sitting on the forks of a forklift truck. A stack of five other bales in a tipper behind him fell on him. The stack weighed 2,265 lb. Employee #1 died from his injuries.
