Employee's hand lacerated in dough machine

At about 12:30 a.m. on September 3, 1993, Employee #1, a maintenance mechanic, was routinely cleaning a dough-portioning machine. He had reached inside a rectangular dough distribution chute with an air hose to blow out larger pieces of dough. A pneumatic-powered (dough) push pad inside the chute activated and pushed his hand into the sharp edge of a metal dough divider attached to the bottom opening of the dough chute. His right hand was severely lacerated.
