Employee's finger amputated by swing arm

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on November 9, 1993, Employee #1 was making an adjustment to an unguarded swing arm's water sprinkler device when his left little finger came in contact with the valve switch and was amputated when it was caught between the switch and the moving swing arm. Employee #1 was taken to Glendale Memorial Hospital and hospitalized for 2 days. The employer was advised to strongly enforce safety regulations to prevent any accident in the future.
