Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:00 a.m. on June 10, 1992, Employee #1, a newly-hired employee of the Biltmore Hotel, was using a wet towel to clean a Rosito Bisani pasta machine while the machine was running. The employee's right hand became caught between the top two rollers, severely lacerating both sides of his four fingers. Employee #1 was taken to Temple Medical Center and hospitalized for a week. He is now being treated as an outpatient. A citation was issued and the employer was strongly advised to train and oversee work to prevent future accidents.
